Cosmic Pinball was a blast!!! Posted: April 17, 2009
Cosmic Pinball       Wow!  What a great show last Thursday.  Congratulations to all of our students on their successful performances.  Linda Rechtin is amazing.  The amount of difficult quality work that must be completed to bring a musical of this caliber together, in such a small amount of time, is staggering.  It also demands the help of a lot of people.  Thank you to Marilyn Yoe for heading Linda’s support committee that took care of the set, props, costumes, tickets, DVDs, fundraisers, and the eight million other things needing to be done to make this great opportunity for our students possible.  Thank you to the large number of people on that committee and everyone else who helped (their names can be found in the Cosmic Pinball program).  The program neglected to thank Jim Sedler for building the Cosmic Pinball Machine.  Thanks Jim; it was perfect.  Photos of the spring musical can be found here: Cosmic Pinball Photos.  Sorry, due to the low light, most of them have motion blur.

Boxtops - Cathy Hill Posted: April 6, 2009
Kudos to Mrs. Rice and her 6th graders for being the March boxtop winners. They turned in 14 baggies = $70.00. This is an ongoing fundraiser, so please continue to send in coupons (sending in your shopping list doesn't count, sorry!). You do not need to accumulate 50 coupons before turning them in. Turn them in whenever you have some; please write your child's name on the back. Coupons are being turned in without names. Remember that the student turning in the most coupons for the school year, will be rewarded. No coupon dated before 03/01/09 can be accepted. We currently have 2nd and 8th grade tied in first place. Let's see who wins the pizza party ...!.
